The Laws of the Nation of New Zion Proclamation by the King and the 24 Elders

We, the King of New Zion and the 24 Elders of New Zion, in assembly, hereby establish the following laws for the land. These laws will remain in effect until an assembly of the 24 elders determines otherwise. We will use clear and common language so that all citizens can understand.

Basic Necessities of New Zion

Housing and Businesses: Home sizes will be determined by the needs of families and businesses.Motor Vehicles: Cars will be provided at a moderate cost, and there will be no extravagant vehicles. The focus will be on reliable transportation for families and businesses.Land: Land will be allocated based on the needs of citizens.

Employment and Gender Roles

Male Workers: Male workers shall not be assigned to work with married women unless it involves their wives, children, or sisters.Female Workers: Female workers shall not be assigned to work with married men unless it involves their husbands, children, or brothers. An exception is made for women over the age of 70.Military Service: Young women may join the military if they sign a waiver. Married women or women with children will not be eligible for military service unless they sign a waiver.

Selling Goods of New Zion

Warehouse System: All goods produced within New Zion will be sold through the New Zion warehouse. Sales outside the community will be conducted through this system. Internal sales within the community will be permitted.

Business and Corporate Regulations

Profit Limit: No business, corporation, or organization within the boundaries of New Zion shall exceed a half-million dollars in annual profits.Excess Profit Tax: Any business exceeding the profit limit will be charged a 50% tax on the amount exceeding the half-million dollar threshold. All collected funds will be distributed to charities and organizations designated by the elected elders.

Taxation

Flat Tax Rate: A flat tax rate of 15% will be levied on all goods sold within New Zion. This tax will be applied only after the basic cost of living expenses have been met for both businesses and households.
